Why not Honduras? That's where Rolando López and the President-for-Life are, keeping one step ahead of the rainy season. It was a chore getting this post out the door.
A shout-out goes to our Toyota 4-Runner for getting us over the mountains, across the rivers and lagoons, around the rocks, and through the mud.
I'm reminded of the 1961 movie, The Sky Above, The Mud Below - hence the blog post title.
And when we visited the dusty town of Dulce Nombre de Culmi, I recalled Don Henley's All She Wants to Do Is Dance, although no guerrillas were in sight. Just a chicken rummaging around at my feet.
But as I texted the First-Lady-for-Life, I am 'sucio pero feliz;'- 'dirty but happy'. Looks like some good WatSan projects.
Q: "How many Hondurans can you put in the back of a pickup truck?" A: "One more."
