At lunch today, we were speaking re trivia and history and I mentioned that my interest in both came from your father, John Pilgrim Campana. He was my teacher for US History Tutorial in 1977 and 78 at Chaminade. I remember his face, quotes, and stories like it was yesterday. "The Constitution is like a pretty girl...you can look at her, but you can't stare because then you see all the little imperfections." "Democracy is like a raft...you're safe, but your feet get wet." I am extremely sorry to read of your family's loss of your sister Ann on 9/11. She left quite a legacy. Obviously, you and your wife are keeping her memory alive through the foundation. What an intelligent way to unite your hydrology expertise with her travel and charitable interests. I'm sure you know your father was a fantastic and unforgettable teacher. He radiated enthusiasm. You're probably pretty good yourself. Thank you for the blog. I'm adding it to my google homepage. I hope your family is well.
